Questions about this piece
Why is this stone considered rare? +
The chrysocolla in DREAM TIME was last mined in the 1970s or 80s from an Arizona copper mine that has since closed, so the supply is finite. Sarah works only with vintage stock, which means every DREAM TIME piece is set with a small piece of Arizona mining history.
How is this different from turquoise? +
Chrysocolla and turquoise both come from copper-rich rock and sit in the same blue-green family, but chrysocolla tends to lean cooler and softer with watery undertones. It gives DREAM TIME a more painterly, less saturated feel than traditional Southwestern turquoise jewelry.
What does it pair with in my wardrobe? +
DREAM TIME loves the kind of pieces you reach for already. White tank, soft denim shirt, linen dress, or a classic blazer. Think retro Ralph Lauren updated for now. It also layers beautifully with Sarah's REVERIE blue tourmaline necklace from the Wild Sage collection.
How do I care for chrysocolla? +
Chrysocolla is a softer copper-based stone and should be kept away from water, lotions, and perfume. Wipe gently with a soft cloth and store flat in the pouch provided. Full instructions on the jewelry care page.
